The Run Navy Yard isn't just a race; it's a movement powered by purpose, pride, and community. This high-energy experience brings together runners, walkers, and allies from across the region to celebrate culture, connection, and wellness.

With every step, participants are investing in something bigger. Proceeds from the run directly support Youth and Young Adult Programs at Momentum! Health, expanding access to critical resources, scholarships, and life-changing opportunities. More importantly, this run helps shine a light on mental health by breaking stigma, encouraging conversations, and building stronger, healthier communities.

Whether you're running for fitness, fellowship, or a cause that truly matters, this event offers a space where you belong. It's about showing up for yourself, for each other, and for the next generation of leaders who deserve support, visibility, and care.

The Run Navy Yard is more than a finish line; it's a starting point for impact.

Join us. Move with purpose. Run with Pride.

Why do We Run..

Running with members of your community is a powerful way to build both physical health and meaningful connection. When people come together to run, they encourage one another, reduce stress, and create a shared sense of purpose that strengthens the whole community.

Caring for our bodies is also deeply connected to faith. In the good book, believers are reminded that our bodies are a temple and that honoring God ( or The Universe/Whom You Believe) includes caring for the life and health God  has given us. By staying active, supporting one another, and embracing wellness together, we live out a vision of life that reflects gratitude, stewardship, and joy.

What is a Run Series ?

A Run Series is more than a collection of races; it is a shared journey that connects runners, walkers, and supporters across multiple events throughout the year. Each race in the series builds on the last, creating a sense of Momentum, purpose, and community. Participants return again and again not only to challenge themselves physically, but also to be part of something bigger: a movement that celebrates health, perseverance, and connection. Whether someone joins for their first run or completes the entire series, each event contributes to a larger story of personal growth and collective impact.

One of the most exciting aspects of a Run Series is the opportunity to collect unique medals, race shirts, bibs, and special giveaways that commemorate each milestone along the way. These items serve as lasting reminders of the effort, pride, and community spirit behind every finish line. Even more meaningful is the mission behind the miles; every race in the series supports the community's fight to improve mental health through Momentum's Community Health programs! With every registration, step, and celebration, runners help expand access to wellness support and resources, ensuring that more individuals can live healthier lives filled with purpose, resilience, and hope.
